Anything goes

Unsure from our conversations that "S" fully fathoms what we mean when we say that we want an alternative-style living space, and wanting to let her know that we are in earnest, I sought some way to give her to understand that we were indeed serious. So when I saw this, I had to take a picture for her:

Imagine it. Add a little more glass, of course, including a transparent saucer all the way around the entire rim, with a Jetsons-age dwelling within... why not?

The town councils are approving this kind of construction all the time. It's not new. And it guarantees a panoramic view, while using relatively little land!

With a spiral slide down the inside for rapid egress, I think it could make quite a fetching home.

Why not?

But really, I don't believe that "S" believes us when we say we want a chateau d'eau (although we very truly do)... and so I've asked her for all sorts of more realistic alternative spaces. I want a church.

Churches know from high ceilings.

And right here, just adjacent to Lodeve and shrouded in trees, Sarah and I spotted one, with locked gates, and peeling paint, and looking generally disused. If it's unused, whoever owns it should want money rather than a wasted building, right? So I've asked "S", and she says she'll look into it... we have our fingers crossed.
